The verb choices – stitch and sketch – and entailed imagery, emotions, and memory make these two tanka evocative and emotionally powerful.
ReplyDeleteAru, Congratulations on starting your blog! The words -- “sketch” and “Eucalypt”-- you used in II are related to two prominent tanka journals, Sketchbook and Eucalypt. According to Chinese religious beliefs, this is a good sign. You should submit your tanka to these journals.
